Shiva P. Gill is Of Counsel at RAB Law Firm where her practice focuses on providing removal defense from deportation, particularly for those facing deportation due to criminal activity or illegal presence. Shiva graduated with a Masters in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. She then earned her Juris Doctor degree in law from Concord Law School where she graduated with honors in the top 10% of her graduating class and was the winner of the Sue Lane Award, awarded to a graduate who best embodies character, dedication and the pursuit of excellence.
Shiva
was awarded the YMCA of Greater Houston “Volunteer of the Year” Award in 2008. She has trained and mentored law students in the practice of immigration law. She was a presenter at University of Houston CLE conference on the merits of pro bono representation. She was also the “defense attorney” at a mock trial for the CLE Conference on Asylum held at the University of Houston. She was an elected member of the Board of Education where she served as a Vice President and helped manage a school district consisting of over 3,000 students with a budget of over $25 million.
