Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and earned his Juris Doctor in 2002 from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school Matt was the Recent Developments Editor of the Journal of Texas Consumer Law. In addition, he was a law clerk for Judge Rory Olsen of Probate Court No. 3 and the Disability and Elder Law Division of the Harris County Attorney’s Office, and worked at a firm concentrating in probate matters. After graduation, Matt worked for the State of Texas, a national law firm and a leading tax consulting firm gaining experience in various tax, real estate and employment matters.
Matt is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and United States Tax Court.
